Artist statement:

I am trying to convey that time is running out for transplant patients with the combination of a clock and kidney. The black colour symbolises that the kidney that is not functioning while the red symbolises the small remaining part that still is. As time passes, more parts of the kidney will not be able to function so time is very precious for kidney failure patients.
