Theme: Your Thoughts on Organ Donation

Artist statement:

If organs can be canned, will they also have expiry dates? If so, I hope they last for a new life.

Organs are just like canned food with a long shelf life. Organ donation can turn sorrow to hope. It gives a glimpse of hope to a long suffering patient seeking for that moment of happiness, just like how a can of food can make us full in times of hunger.

Through this artwork, I incorporated organs onto the canned tins. With the text “no expiry date”, I hope to subtly remind people that organs have a long shelf life, just like canned food and it can give people hope and create happiness.
