Artist statement:

In my work, the flame in the bulb symbolises life. It is connected to the tree which shows that the tree is very much alive. The leaves that are falling from the tree represent loss from giving. Therefore, I have named my work 'A Giving Tree' with the idea of giving in mind because trees provide us (humans) with multiple resources. Despite giving so much, trees are still living healthily. Like trees, I believe we can, too, make a difference to others by making a decision to donate our organs in our lifetime.
