Artist statement:

My artwork depicts a hand holding a watering can. In the watering can, there is a rainbow coming out of it to shower on the eight different types of flowers. The hand represents a person. The eight different species of flowers represent eight people. The watering can with an organ donation sign on it, poured out a streak of rainbow instead of water indicating that organ donation gives people hope and new lives. This implies that one person can save eight people's lives through organ donation. The different species of plants show that people from all walks of life, from different backgrounds, despite differences in race, age, gender and social status, can all benefit from the kind and selfless act of an individual. The streak of rainbow also tells us that organ donation gives new lives and hope to the people that are in need of a new organ. It brings them joy and cause a huge positive impact on their lives.
