Artist statement:

My work is a representation of what the theme meant to me. The plants around the heart symbolise growth and positivity - feelings I associated with the actions of donating. The door on the organ suggests opening your heart to experience something extra-terrestrial through organ donation. My artwork is a visual representation of the iconic meaning of a heart transplant and the concept of being a hero for someone.
