Artist statement:

The climb is a visual representation of an organ failure patients journey towards a hopeful future ahead. Upon reaching the summit of it all, he sat on the edge and looked down. There it was, a vibrant meandering pathway that stretches to the base of his ascend - where it all began. He saw people within his community and loved ones lighting up a trail of support which he did not think was possible within such a grim darkness. As he continued to follow the light, it gave him the courage and hope to go forward despite all his fears within. He left his mark and was ready for his next climb.
