Artist statement:
Organ transplant from the donors body to the patient body can be resembled to moving to a new house for the organ. Since most Singaporeans live in HDB flats, we are aware that they are more than just a living area, they are the heartlands and social fabric of Singapore where a diverse yet cohesive community exists. With the new organ in the patients body, it would fit in like a cog in the wheel running smoothly with other gears like how the community in HDB flats would be. Hence, by giving the gift of life, organ failure patients gain a new lease of life and this gives them a new outlook to living.
