Artist statement:

The blooming of the flowers represented the start of a new life. Roots are essential for plants to survive, so this is similar to how lungs are essential for humans to survive. The many details and patterns inside the lungs seek to show how complicated yet beautiful organs are. The hands belong to the donors who made their willing decision to be the utmost pillar of support to the recipients. The use of colour pencils and Watercolour, which can easily blend in the vibrant colours, represents how everything in life is balanced and in harmony.
