Artist statement:

Giving a life is about a person who recently passed away due to an accident, donating his or her own heart to the person who needs it. The drawing of hand holding a heart shows a person who has a heart condition and had just received a heart transplant from a donor who recently passed away. The stem which is drawn around the hand towards the heart shows the recipient receiving the heart has a new beginning in life. Flowers are drawn to show how beautiful this person's life would be after receiving a heart transplant.
