Artist statement:

This artwork shows a donor donating his/her heart to a new owner so that the new owner has a new beginning, this is similar to when someone receives a new home and gets a fresh start to a new chapter. Having said that, the new heart is like a new home to the patient. This artwork is made to look bright and new. It has a look of pastel and sweet colours. The jar beside the heart is the jar of stars that will be given to organ donor families and it shows strength and support for one another and that the stars resemble hope.
