Artist statement:

The crescent symbolises new beginnings and the making of dreams into reality, which is also what daffodil represents. The heart blooming from the stem of the daffodil shows rebirth, associating with new beginning and the symbol of love. The stars symbolise a big change or a turning point in a person's life. That is why this artwork is titled 'Second Chance' since the organ recipient would have a second chance in life.
