Artist statement:

This artwork shows a heart. In the heart, a girl passed three different stages. First, she feels incredible pain as her heart starts to fail, then she sees a glimpse of hope as someone gifts her a heart, and finally she is recovered and free of pain. From the heart, there are three vessels, they lead to scenes of what she can do after a heart has been donated to her. For example, going to a carnival and riding a roller coaster, eating whatever she wants healthily, and going on the Singapore Flyer. In the background, it is the girl’s healthy heartbeat. To link up, this artwork shows what a donated organ, (in this example a heart) can give a person, which is a chance in life to start over and try new things.
