Artist statement:

In my artwork, the blooming of flowers represents the new blooming of life after the heart is transplanted. The nature represents peaceful, calmness and happiness which the recipient of the organ would feel after which his or her life is saved. The roots represent the veins. Roots are important to trees while veins are important in a human heart. Therefore, the roots represents an important part of the foundation to sustain a life. The butterflies represent the sense of life. Without these, humans would not exist on Earth. Thus, the combination of these nature represents life on earth and in the topic, 'A New Beginning' an organ represents a life.
