Artist statement:

‘Battle of Hope’ is a depiction of the journey organ failure patients are going through. Patients are in a war with themselves. Hand in hand regardless of whether they are a knight, a queen or a pawn, everyone may still suffer from organ failure. The journey will be tough, just like waves and turbulence gushing and engulfing them. However, they are strong and resilient, standing tall and facing their challenges with hopes and aspirations written on their face. They look afar seeing a narwhal, a rare creature motivating them to never stop believing. Further up is a tree of hope with everything they need; every organ they yearn for and need desperately. Encouragement is constantly required for the patients whose hope slowly faded with time.
