Artist statement:

My piece is on how the help of organ donors can create a future of brightness and hope. The action of giving something important from our bodies to someone else who values it as priceless, is an act of selflessness, and a sacrifice. We give them the silver of hope, the spark of light, that brings them and their friends and families, the joy that cannot be bought with earthly means — and brings them out of the dark.
