Artist statement:

Impian, which is the translation of ‘dream’ in Malay represents a dreamworld. It shows a heart being torn apart, showing sacrifices donors have to make. I drew a heart inside a dreamworld with unusual items to represent a dream. Many patients urge to be aided of their illness, so being saved is like a dream to a patient, thus the name “Impian”. The bridge represents the donor providing support. I used monochrome colours to represent the ups and downs of the experience, showing a prideful but sad feeling, as donors are required to make huge sacrifices to be heroes.
