Artist statement:

The black colour hands represent the approaching death of the patient if not for the donated organ. The dove and the daffodils are symbols of hope symbolising the hope of a new life that the patient would have. The vibrant colours of the heart symbolise a new life in contrast to death represented by the black hands.
