Artist statement:

I drew a jar containing the heart, lungs and kidneys for organ donation. The colourful heart represents the hopes and dreams of the previous donor being passed on to the patient. The plant vines in the shape of the lungs represent the oxygen plants provided through photosynthesis. There are medical equipment decorating the jar, and the IV tubes coming out of the jar represent blood donation. But in place of the blood, I chose to draw coloured liquid, representing hope and positivity. The darker background represents fear of death and negativity, while the hands reaching for each other on the yellow bridge represents hope and how the donor is helping the patient out of their void of fear.
