Artist statement:

This artwork has two parts. The left part is about the expression of the donated organ it brings hope to those suffering from organ failure. Origami crane means good fortune, the middle part is the patient looking up to welcome the hope of new life and the organ donor is standing on top. He is holding on to a cup with water in it, and it forms a waterfall. Cacti symbolise patients who need the organ as it is a plant that can stand up to the test of time. It is like the patients of strength in the face of adversity waiting for a transplant. At the bottom is the patient who has recovered, going forward to the light and continuing their lives.

The right part is about the expression of the organ failure. The patient is crying in the darkness and this symbolises the feeling of helplessness, and the chain is to show the patient is looking for freedom. The hand beside is meant to show the patients trying to get out of the situation. The grenade means countdown and the flowers fall off. The red hand symbolises the disease controlling the patient's life.
