Artist statement:

This artwork is inspired by one of my sister's experiences. She lost a close friend due to heart disease, and I would like to create awareness about it. I drew two faces in the heart, which is how I imagine their interactions would be if they ever met again. For the background, I drew calatheas, daffodils and anthuriums to represent health, a new beginning, rebirth and regeneration. I also drew white doves and butterflies to represent freedom and change. My sister hopes that her friend is in a better place now. Through this artwork, I hope to spread awareness and give solace to those who had to endure similar experiences.
