Artist statement:

Organ transplantation is truly a matter of life and death. It has many positive effects on the donor and patients. It may impact families who love those in need of a transplant. It can also help a family work through grief and deal with their loss by knowing that their loved one is helping to save the lives of others.

I want to show that organ transplant is very important and give someone a new life. I gave the organs EXPRESSIONS and showed the donated organs helping the failed organs. Failed organs are represented through dull colours and scars, whereas donated organs are represented through bright and vibrant colours. The donated organs bring happiness, hope, ETERNAL LOVE, smiles, and light to failed organs.

The heart is the centrepiece of my artwork. Our heart is one of the most important organs, the primary organ keeping us alive. The donated and failed hearts are holding hand in hand, guiding the failed heart towards a brighter future. They feel the warmth and love, smiling along. A rainbow road connects the organs together. It acts as a bridge between failed and donated organs. Flowers symbolise happy life and long-lasting beauty. Clouds symbolise the celestial realm, of divine and spiritual. Purple is the colour of fantasy and creates a harmonious balance of awareness and peace. My artwork encourages all of us to convey ETERNAL LOVE, to show the joy that organ transplant brings to the patient and the family, spreads the gift of organ donation and creates a hopeful future for them!
