Artist statement:

My artwork is entirely based on the theme, organ transplantation. I have chosen the heart as my incorporated organ as, based on additional research, it is the most commonly transplanted organ in most cases. I have chosen a variety of mixed colours to indicate a more colourful and new life for the heart. I have added flowers to represent the growth of the heart in its new life. I have included two hands as well as it shows the passing on of the heart from a healthy person to an organ transplant patient.
