Artist statement:

My artpiece shows two people with flowers covering their eyes as I wanted to symbolise “love is blind” concept, Once you care about someone you would do anything for them. The papers at the bottom right side shows love/appreciation notes and drawings. It’s an expression on how being donated an organ is something really special and how the donated organ would want you to live on with your life happily as people around you care for you. There are also words highlighted white in the swirls I wrote that are connected to the organs representing what the donated organs/failed organs would want to say. The leaves and flower symbolises Hope connected to the donor and to the one who needs it (thus there is a leaf stem that connects the both of them). I added some things in the background like phone and clock to mean an expression on the things the donated organs would want to see once they are awake, like a normal day one could have (symbolising grateful of living). The pills and paperwork represent the expression on how the failed organs would want to move on with their life despite how difficult it is (symbolising perseverance).
