Artist statement:

“The Organ Express” is the purple train in the illustration that donated organs and failed organs take, bringing fresh organs to other operating theatres to do their job. The failed organs would take the train to go back to Organland for retirement. The place drawn is the organ station, with colourful ceilings that represent many different emotions and characteristics of organs such as their happiness (yellow) and how they are courageous (red). Fresh organs at the train station will be excited and happy to be donated and they will board the train. Meanwhile, failed organs will be tired and alight from the train. There is a map at the bottom of the drawing to indicate where the organs should alight. The background behind the train is an operating theatre and the patient urgently needs a heart transplant. Fret not, for “The Organ Express” will deliver a fresh heart timely for the operation. The young and happy heart that have just alighted from another organ train lies in the arms of the nurse, ready to save someone's life.
