Artist statement:

This artwork shows an image of someone's body reaching out to someone they cherish deeply. The person's body contains a pair of lungs that are being protected by the ribcage. The plants that are growing in the lungs symbolise that the person is about to pass away because the plants are preventing the lungs from working. The bubbles around the person shows the memories that the person has with their loved ones and an organ that accompanies the person when they are making memories with the ones they cherish. The waves that are supporting the person symbolises peace as the person feels calm although they know that they are going to die soon; making the most of their remaining time left on earth.
