Artist statement:

This artwork shows several organs (lungs, bone, brain and heart), along with a little girl sitting on a tree branch in a forest. Those organs are the little girl’s friends, and they will grow up and age with the little girl. Being in and exploring a forest is a way for them to keep healthy, to ensure that none of the organs fall ill, so that they can be friends forever. The organs and the girl also develop strong bonds while spending time together in the forest. It is also a place for the little girl to travel and explore around with her companions. The organs are pinkish colour as it depicts the love the little girl has for her companions, and the beam of sunlight represents that lifelong friends will bring brightness into the little girl's life. The little bits of blue on the organs and the little girl symbolise that conflicts and sadness may occur between friends, but once they get through the conflict, they will be closer to each other.
