Artist statement:

This artwork depicts a failing kidney spending its final moments with me. Both of us are playing separate instruments, yet working together to produce a final song. It symbolises how we both complement each other and the final moments of our journey together before the kidney completely fails and I would lose it forever. There is a melancholy tone in the artwork which shows how it’s a bittersweet moment for both of us. It emphasises the importance of our organs and how we often take them for granted and do not understand how much they mean to us until they are failing.
