Artist statement:

My artpiece showcases how an individual's effort in organ donation can transform a person's life. The central focus is the patient's heart and a missing puzzle piece, nearly complete. This symbolises the selflessness of organ donation, where a single missing piece holds power to bring the patient's journey to fruition.

The artpiece reflects the multifaceted nature of organ transplants and medical complexities. There are symbols of time, emphasising the urgency on organ donation, and also a symbol of the medical profession, which are crucial pieces as well.

As the final puzzle piece is discovered, it marks the end of this journey. The radiant glow flows gently, highlighting the transformative impact of organ donation - giving hope, vitality and life.

Through this artpiece, I hope to inspire more people to recognise the noble and selfless act of organ donation, and the immense impact it can have on personal life and society.
