Theme: My Organ, My Companion

Artist statement:

When I first heard the theme was “My Organ, My Companion”, the first thing that came to my mind was “Where would I want to bring my ‘organ’? What would I want it to enjoy while it is still healthy?”. In my artwork, the two girls are friends, the one with a blue top representing an “eye”. I feel that many people don’t realise how lucky they are to be able to see things around them, and that being able to see is a blessing. Our eyes are the ones that capture every moment that we go through, or even small, beautiful scenes that lie before our eyes. I wanted to show through my art: the two girls are holding hands as they walk on this pathway towards a place with fun-filled activities, be it the carousel or admiring nature. Lastly, the plane at the top shows how this is a journey; an adventure where my ‘organ friend’ and I will enjoy and savour every last bit of fun and excitement.
