Artist statement:

The artwork itself represents the second life that organs can be used for. The roots surrounding the organs represent the key item that means rooting for a second life. I used lilies to represent rebirth of a new life because donating an organ is like giving someone a new start. The veil of water and the stars show the peace that one will feel as I think the person receiving the organ will feel relieved that they have a chance to survive. As you can see, the human is like a tree bark that supports everything else to build a strong system thus making the organs beneficial.
