Artist statement:

If I were to bring a new organ out with me, I would have a hearty meal together. Since food should be shared and enjoyed by everyone no matter their background, I thought of the catchphrase 'food for thought', which has a double meaning here. One, to hope that more people would think of the lives of the patients and two, to be thoughtful and share a slice of life with them. Patients with organ transplants should enjoy foods that they could not eat previously due to restrictions. Lastly, I made use of fruits and cakes which symbolise the cycle of life to show how with a new organ, a new beginning unfolds.
