Artist statement:

Eyes are essential in viewing our world. My picture shows two eyeballs having a picnic and an outdoor live painting session amidst a beautiful landscape. It is fashioned as a cover of a magazine, with the title "different sights".Having good vision is often taken for granted, as it is a privilege that most are able to enjoy. To indulge in an activity such as live painting, which is heavily reliant on the observation of small details, textures and form of the natural landscape, can be a luxury to some. Through cornea transplants, the donor would be able to grant this luxury to the recipient, unlocking a world of vibrant sceneries and colours. 'Different sights' means the different views that a cornea recipient can now enjoy; but it also means different perspectives – where I hope to encourage healthy individuals to consider donation as it can change the life of another individual.
