Artist statement:

Amidst the flurry of busy schedules, we often neglect to acknowledge the constant strain we put on our hearts. Our stressful pace of life often causes our hearts to pump at accelerated rates.

In this illustration, I depict the ideal scenario for my heart to relax. I am sitting at a serene beach, basking in the sunset glow. As I absorb the tranquil scene, my heart rate gradually slows, synchronised with the rhythm of crashing waves. I also included subtle elements signifying the pursuit of a healthy heart or body in general. A box of milk and a cart of fruits symbolise wholesome nourishment. More than just exercising, bicycles also represent leisurely enjoyment, much like a picnic mat and gardening patches. The presence of a teddy bear cycling reminds us to embrace lightheartedness and occasional life absurdities, while a trash bin serves as a reminder to discard our mental ‘trash’.
