Artist statement:

‘Forever Living Vision’ depicts a girl who is previously blind being pushed forward by her donor as she excitedly runs towards the vibrancy of life. With her new pair of eyes, the girl leaves her previous colourless and empty world, tossing away what was once her only forms of support - her walking stick and her pair of sunglasses. It shows how an individual's effort can contribute to someone else's joy and change their everyday lives, without having to experience blindness themself. However, in current day society, the general public tend to forget their own fortune of being able to see or even just to be able to live without having to worry about their health. Blind people can pray so hard just to be able to catch a glimpse of colour, yet we take all these dreams of theirs for granted simply because we were born with sight. Current day society needs to gain more awareness about these individuals and avoid outcasting them because of their disabilities. No one is asking for you to give your organs away in the prime of your life, but if it is only going to be left to rot when you pass on, why not give it to someone else and let them have a second chance to experience life in a different perspective?
