Artist statement:

This artwork shows a girl with her new heart carrying out activities that she has never done before. This shows that the impact that having a new heart allows for her to try new things that she could not do before due to her heart condition. The new heart is personified into a new friend moving in with her as a collage of photographs are kept by the girl with fond memories and a sense of gratitude.
