Artist statement:

In this artwork, I drew a girl who has recently had a heart transplant and another girl who is supposed to represent the heart. The two of them are taking part in activities that the girl who needed the heart transplant could never take part in due to poor health. But now with a new companion, the heart, she can have new hopes and be able to enjoy normal activities such as going to school, having bubble tea and playing sports. These are the activities I thought the girl would like to take part in with a friend. I also added in shapes of organs such as lungs, kidneys and liver in the form of balloons and photo strips. The two girls are cycling towards a better future together.
