Artist statement:

This is a self-portrait cradling a "tree of life". The organs drawn on the tree are the ones most needed for transplants. The heart shapes at the roots symbolise an act of love and inspiring hope. Using a self-portrait shows that every person has the power to make a difference by advocating and raising awareness for organ donation.
