Artist statement:

This artwork shows the story of a heart transplant recipient. After receiving the organ, the patient is full of vitality and joy, and is shown rejoicing with her family, who are relieved and grateful for the restoration of her health. Because of the heart transplant, her story is able to continue. This is shown through the stretched comic panel that continues beyond the canvas. I hope to show the positive long-term impacts organ donation can have on patients, and encourage people to lend a helping hand to those in need, to ensure more people can continue living their stories in vibrant colours.
