Artist statement:

The title of my artwork is ‘The Giving Tree’. The key image shown in my artwork helps with symbolising the strength and generosity of organ donors who give the ultimate gift, and how it takes one person to start before everyone else joins in. The stark white background represents the hope and new beginnings that organ donation can bring, along with the different hands reaching out towards the tree after one person initiates it by collecting an eyeball from the tree. This artwork is a call to action, encouraging viewers to consider organ donation and the profound impact it can have on others. By registering as an organ donor, you can become a silent hero and offer a chance at life for someone in need.
