Artist statement:

The artwork has a pocket watch whose glass has shattered depicting the hardships that people may face when on dialysis or any organ failure treatment. The watch represents time passing and the persistence of time. Although it is painful right at this moment, as the hands of the pocket watch continue to tick, time will pass by. When the time eventually arrives to get a new organ, life will blossom just like the flowers. The koi in the drawing also represents perseverance in the face of adversity. Everything will be alright eventually so don’t worry and persevere. Hopefully, this thought is enough to give them the will to continue to live on. :)
