Theme: Making a difference that endures across time

Our artwork depicts the heartfelt exchange between a donor and recipient. In this artwork, we conveyed how our organs endure not just across time but also across individual lives, lending a deeper meaning. Our organs accompany us through struggles and joy, make memories, and gain imprints of our habits. This is shown in the representation of the facets of a precious life’s experience held within the heart. Hence, when donated, the physical and emotional imprints of our lives persevere too. Furthermore, when the heart - a gift of hope amidst darkness - is received, its lifespan begins anew; from left to right, it endured through the past, enters the present and will continue to live on in the future. Lastly, we represented how the donor’s legacy of a magical kindness lives on in the recipient, hence allowing their memory and heart-warming selflessness to be remembered and endure across the next life.
