Artist statement:

This artwork explores the profound impact of a heart transplant from a young girl to a young man, illustrating how one life can continue and transform another. The arterial imagery symbolises the seamless transferral of life force, akin to how arteries pump blood, ensuring the young man's survival. The blue area, representing the girl's life, extends into his existence through the music she once played, signifying a lasting connection. Surrounding this area, lily flowers symbolise the renewal of life, while red magnolias denote perseverance as the young man thrives. His journey, marked by health, graduation, and marriage, encapsulates the enduring possibilities and continuity of life through time.
