Artist statement:

Donors have this profound impact on not only their recipient's quality of life but also those of their loved ones. Especially by zooming in on the legacy left behind by deceased donors, in this artwork, I wanted to show the lives touched by such a contribution through generations worth of portraits. Recipients cherish the fresh sense of purpose through this second chance at life like being able to support and spend valuable family time. A wonderful new lease of life is ultimately represented by bubbles turning into fireflies into a warm future. Patterns of skin and the visual of a singular eye represent various transplants such as skin and cornea donation.
