Artist statement:

The bubbles signify the countless organ donations that have occurred. The blue strip that is growing from narrow to wide can be depicted as a symbol of life. For the most significant part of the drawing, the man that is made out of a puzzle is missing a piece, which is the heart. Donating a heart allows the man to start a new chapter of his life without feeling pain. The old man is holding balloons of different organs, giving the balloon with the shape of the heart to a little boy. This implies that the old man is donating his organs to the little boy who requires them. Therefore, the message of the drawing signifies the importance of organ donation to help others in need. With the combined efforts of many, we can surely make a difference and give someone a new life. Every donation counts; make a difference today.
