Artist statement:

It is said that rainbows are a sign of luck. Hence, in the artwork, I drew two girls, one with rainbow hair to show she is the one who was blessed with a chance of a new life after her organs failed. The girl with blue hair is the one donating her organs. Instead of drawing organs, I drew an hourglass to show how over time, unfortunate things could happen, like her passing. Yet, she is able to help another person live on. The fillings in the hourglass lead toward the rainbow haired girl, allowing her to be "reborn" in order to live a healthy life. The end of one life leads to the continuation of another, the blue haired girl lives on within the other girl, like when a flower withers, it drops to the ground and decomposes, but it becomes fertiliser for another flower to nurture and bloom.
