Artist statement:

In this artwork, there is a boy sitting on the floor and holding a lamp. He represents someone who has been given a second chance in life, through an organ transplant. The boy is calm in the artwork, reflecting his gratitude towards the donor. He is also holding the lamp close, showing his gratitude for the donor’s selflessness. The light in the lamp is in the shape of a heart, which symbolises the donor's heart. It glows warmly, offering life, warmth, and hope to another human being. All in all, this artwork is a beautiful reminder that when one light goes out, it can ignite another.
