Artist statement:

My artwork was heavily inspired by the making of patchwork, which is created from various kinds of fabric, usually from recycled leftover sources. My artwork showcases two girls sewing one big quilt together, as they are being embraced by the quilt. I decided to draw two people sewing together rather than one, as I wanted to portray a sense of unity and bonding through their shared activity. The title I have chosen: ‘Made With Love’, was because patchwork and sewing takes time and effort and is ‘made with love’. I also decided to add patterns relating to the organs one can donate, to reinforce the theme of organ donation.
