Artist statement:

This artwork shows how one organ donor can bring new life and hope to many people. The scarves represent the organs being shared, each one connecting different individuals in meaningful ways. The yarn balls show the different organs making up the scarf, and the butterflies represent change, hope, and new beginnings. I wanted to show that gratitude isn't just a feeling, it also inspires people to do good things for others too.
