Artist statement:

Inspired by the powerful impact of organ donation, my design features a heart vital monitor line connecting to the stems of blooming flowers, with the stems also forming a heart shape. This symbolises the enduring connection between donors and recipients, where life and gratitude intertwine. Each blooming flower represents the lasting legacy of a donor, as well as the hope and transformation made possible through organ donation. Families of deceased donors find comfort knowing their loved one’s gift thrives in others, while living donors share a deepened connection with their recipients. Given a second chance at life, recipients embody gratitude and renewal through this selfless act of compassion.
