Theme: Alternate Perspectives

Artist statement:

This artwork is inspired by organ donors and how others may view the stories and retellings of their journey. How organ donation can impact the lives of donors, receivers and those around them. The heart is the central organ of the body, it only makes sense to have it as the focal point. The friends depict the people who support those who are in need of transplants. The doctor is how I perceived the theme 'Alternative Perspective', with the perspective of a doctor reacting to a diagnosis.
